Richlite Prototype Material | Slate Part Sheets

Food safe exterior grade solid paper composite material with high strength-to-weight performance, screw retention and heat safe up to 176 C, in a Slate colour that appears dark black, similar to Black Diamond - for prototyping, maker material and manufacturing consumer products.

When considering Slate versus Black Diamond the colours are nearly identical. Slate tends to perform best in exterior environments and food prep applications, and Black Diamond is better suited to interior joinery. Both use rapidly renewable and sustainably sourced paper, but Slate is NSF 51 Listed and tested to EU 1935/2004, and can be used in commercial kitchens, food preparation and presentation environments, as well as place settings, coasters, cutting surfaces, assembly lines or to make utensils. Industrial equipment manufacturing uses include tooling, mould making, CNC router beds or truck beds, exterior signage or model making.
