Durat
Imaginative terrazzo solid surfaces in endless colours, recycled to last
Durat - a colourful, durable and silky solid surface material that combines recycling and design. Made from post-industrial recycled plastic, the recycled surfaces bring circular design to life in office tea points, kitchen countertops, vanity units, sinks and bespoke furnitures. Durat's distinctive terrazzo appearance is available in over 300 vibrant colours, including the RAL Classic Chart and Palace Collection with shimmering mineral pigments. Fully recyclable, Durat is beautiful for creating seamless surfaces in sustainable interior applications and can be renewed, repurposed or recycled again.
Recycled and designed to last: Durat is a colourful solid surface material made with recycled plastic waste used by designers and architects to create seamless surfaces in interior applications.
One of the oldest solid surface manufacturers in Europe, Durat was established in Finland in 1990 to create a sustainable material that combined recycling and design. A polyester based solid surface material, Durat uses post-industrial plastic collected from manufacturing and waste management companies in Sweden and Finland. The recycled plastic is then granulated into small chips and cast into a resin base to create durable, silky sheets of solid surface. And it all happens in Durat's 100% renewable energy manufacturing facility.
Because it's a solid surface material, Durat can be refinished and renewed. Great for high-use areas in places such as restaurants, cafes, retail shops, hospitals, classrooms, public spaces, labs, boats and residential developments.
