Bubblewrap
Waffle shop
What started as a project to reinvigorate a traditional Hong Kong street snack, egg waffles, resulted in the launch of Bubblewrap with their first branch in Chinatown and now, in Covent Garden. Alongside its viral success on social media, Bubblewrap has partnered with the likes of Hello Kitty and Baileys resulting in long queues outside the stores.
Giving a fun and vibrant experience, the Covent Garden branch has a floral feature wall, neon signs and unique bench seating and tabletops made with wavey edges in a nod to the bubble waffles. The recycled paper composite material adds a warm, leathery look in feel working with the brand and the Grade II listed building. As well as being heat and water resistant, Richlite can withstand the busy tempo of the restaurant.
